You will find the small, immaculately maintained safari camp on the shores of glittering Lake Elmenteita in Kenya’s Soysambu Conservancy. After breakfast this morning, head out for an excursion towards Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most famous lake in Kenya. It is one of the Rift Valley soda lakes at an elevation of 1,754 m above sea level. The lake's abundance of algae used to attract a vast quantity of flamingos that famously lined the shore. However, with the rising water levels, the flamingos fled in 2014 and have yet to return. Nevertheless, the site is still worth the visit for its game including crocodiles, elephants, rhinos and hippos. Return to Elmenteita for the evening at leisure.
