Day 1Cape Town | The Journey Begins
Check in at the Rovos Rail Lounge in central Cape Town before the 11:00 departure. Settle into your suite as the train travels through the Western Cape winelands towards Worcester and climbs the escarpment. Lunch, afternoon tea and a formal dinner are served on board.

Day 2Matjiesfontein | Village and Karoo Landscapes
Disembark for a stroll through the historic village of Matjiesfontein, with its station museum and collection of classic cars and railway carriages. Back on board, cross the expansive semi-desert scenery of the Karoo while enjoying meals and afternoon tea on the train.

Day 3Kimberley | Diamond Heritage
Enjoy a guided visit to Kimberley’s Diamond Mine Museum and the Big Hole, a landmark of South Africa’s diamond-mining history. The train later continues across the grassland plains of the Highveld, with dinner on board.

Day 4Pretoria | Journey’s End
After breakfast and lunch on board, travel through the goldfields of the Witwatersrand and arrive at Rovos Rail Station in Pretoria at approximately 17:00. Guests wishing to tour the station and museum should allow about 90 additional minutes before arranging their pick-up.

- Check-in

- Arrival
- 17:00 at Rovos Rail Station, 1 Transnet Avenue, Pretoria.
- Station and museum visit
- The optional Rovos Rail Station and museum visit after arrival is not part of the timed rail itinerary; delay your pick-up if you would like to join it.
- Reservations
- A provisional supplier reservation may be held for up to 14 days, subject to availability. Rovos Rail requests a 25% deposit and full payment 60 days before departure for individual bookings.
- Cancellation insurance
- Cancellation insurance is compulsory. Sedunia Travel booking and cancellation terms may differ from the supplier terms and will be advised at quotation stage.
- Passports and visas
- Passports should carry at least five blank visa pages and remain valid for six months beyond the return-home date. Required visas must be arranged in advance.
- Times
- Rovos Rail itineraries and times are approximate. Avoid same-day time-sensitive onward connections.
